Ayşe Buğra is a Professor at Atatürk Institute for Modern Turkish History Boğaziçi University. Since 2004, Buğra is the founding Chair of Boğaziçi University’s Social Policy Forum. Prior to her duties at this forum, she also served as the vice-Chair of the Department of Economics during 1988-1990 and vice-Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at Boğaziçi University during 1993-1994. Buğra’s research interests are Development Economics, Comparative Social Policies and Economic History of Turkey.

Prof. Dr. Ahmet İnsel

Ahmet Insel was the chair of the Department of Economics at Galatasaray University. He also acted as the Vice President at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University during 1994-1999, and as the Dean of Faculty of Economics at the same university during 1990-1994. He is a columnist at Cumhuriyet, an important daily newspaper, and regularly contributes to Birikim, a socialist monthly journal.
