Hakan Altınay

Director

Hakan Altınay is the founding director of the European School of Politics, and a Professor of the Practice at Tufts University. He has previously served as a World Fellows at Yale University and a Senior Fellow at Brookings Institution. Published in 2011, his book Global Civics has been translated into Chinese, Arabic, Russian, Portuguese and Spanish. His writings have appeared at the Economist, Financial Times, International Herald Tribune, openDemocracy and Project Syndicate. Altınay argues that a good conversation is one of the most vital capabilities of humanity, and maintains that the full potential of a good conversation is rarely realized.

Prof. Dr. Fikret Adaman

Academic Advisor

Fikret Adaman, the academic advisor, is a Professor of Economics at Boğaziçi University. He also served as the advisor of the President and the chairperson at Economics Department at Boğaziçi University. Adaman is currently acting as an expert on social inclusion to the European Commission. His research areas are Political Economy of Turkey, Turkey’s Social Policies, Ecological Economics and History of Economic Thought.

Kerem Mert İspir

Director

Kerem Mert İspir, received his BA and MA degrees from Boğaziçi University, Department of Political Science and International Relations where he also continues his PhD studies. He has worked as a research assistant at Boğaziçi University between 2013 and 2016. His research interests are Peace and Conflict Studies, Political Theory, and Urban Politics.

Hazal Acar

Director

Hazal Acar has completed her undergraduate education in Political Science and International Relations at Yıldız Technical University. She is involved in local movements and various international NGOs working on ecology, climate justice and green politics.
